In a follow up to the BAMSOUTH.com news about Mannington Mills expansion into Georgia which adds another facility to the state, Governor Nathan Deal released further plans for the planned expansion.The new facility will be expanded into Madison County nears Athens and will add 219 jobs in the next few years.“This expansion is coming to fruition thanks to cooperation from the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Madison-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Power,” said Russell Grizzle, President and CEO of Mannington Mills, Inc. “With the approval of Governor Deal, we were able to put together an aggressive plan that will allow Mannington to expand and grow in the state of Georgia. We are grateful to them for helping to make this vision a reality and are especially excited that we are expanding domestically, adding jobs and investing in the U.S. economy.”
The company has been expanding by acquisition since 2008.
