Bradley Arant Names Two Attorneys to Partner, One to Counsel

JACKSON, MS— Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has named Michael J. Bentley and Kathleen Shields O’Beirne to partner and Lindy D. Brown to counsel effective Jan. 1. Across the firm, 10 attorneys were named to the partnership and two were elevated to counsel.

Michael J. Bentley (Jackson, Miss.) is a member of the Litigation Practice Group and the Appellate Team. He litigates commercial disputes in trial courts and on appeal. Mr. Bentley’s commercial litigation experience ranges from contract and commercial lease disputes to housing-discrimination claims, whistleblower suits, tort claims, and tax protests. He clerked in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Bentley holds a J.D. (summa cum laude) from Mississippi College School of Law and a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Millsaps College.

Kathleen Shields O’Beirne (Jackson, Miss.) is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Ms. O’Beirne focuses her practice on representing financial institutions, insurers, and attorneys in civil litigation matters in both federal and state courts. She represents companies and individuals against a wide variety of claims, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, as well as claims for fraud, legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duties, and wrongful foreclosure. Ms. O’Beirne earned her J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Mississippi School of Law and holds an A.B. from Davidson College.

Lindy D. Brown (Jackson, Miss.) is a member of the Litigation Practice Group and focuses her practice on commercial, tort, and general litigation. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Barbour and has coauthored several Daubert update articles for DRI. Ms. Brown holds a J.D. (summa cum laude) from the University of Mississippi School of Law. She earned a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Rhodes College.
