Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that Simon Bailey, an associate in the firm’s Jackson office, was chosen for this year’s Jackson Young Lawyers Association’s (JYL) Pro Bono Service Award.
Mr. Bailey was recognized for generously donating over 50 hours of his time to several local pro bono projects. Mr. Bailey also served as chair of JYL’s Pro Bono Committee, spearheading such pro bono projects as Lawyers in the Library and the Wills for Heroes program for Jackson area first responders that took place on June 4 at the Jackson Police Department’s Training Academy.
JYL is Mississippi’s largest local ABA-YLD affiliate, serving 300 members in and around the City of Jackson. JYL was founded in 1936 for the purpose of strengthening the collegial bond among young and newly admitted attorneys practicing in Jackson and providing an outlet for community service and civic-engagement.
Mr. Bailey is a member of the firm’s General Litigation Practice Group and Life Sciences Litigation Team. His practice focuses on asbestos and silica mass-tort litigation, product liability litigation, and general commercial litigation involving insurance and lending disputes. Before joining the firm, Mr. Bailey graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama School of Law where he served on the Managing Board of the Alabama Law Review and the Moot Court Board.
